Sometimes readers contact me. “Wow, I didn’t know anybody else felt this way.” That’s why I write.
My publications include Guideposts, Sweet16, Today’s Christian,Today’s Christian Woman, Homelife, Angels on Earth, PLUS (a Guideposts publication), crosswalk.com, sober24.com, and urbanministries.com. I’ve contributed devotionals for Daily Guideposts since 2003.
Our third child died shortly after birth. Robbie was born with a rare birth defect called anencephaly. My first article to be accepted, “The Hardest Battle,” is about this experience.
Relationship stories can make fantastic articles. “The Dynamo Next Door,” published by Today’s Christian Woman, is about how my fearless next door neighbor encouraged me to begin writing.
“One of Us” published by Today’s Christian, is a story of brokenness and healing–one woman’s path to becoming the resident manager for a homeless shelter.
“Battling the Devil’s Drug” is the story of a pastor and his wife and how they won their personal battle against meth addiction. Today they are in Nashville, TN working in Set Free Ministries.
